The Olympus Dictation App for iPhone and Android is fully compatible with existing Olympus Dictation Management System (ODMS) software workflows. Olympus Dictation Portal
Olympus Dictation Portal (ODP) is a highly secured and flexible web-based configuration tool that allows administrators to centrally manage the Olympus Dictation app and corresponding ODDS licenses.
Configuration functions such as the destination address of dictations and encryption settings are controlled by the administrator, meaning that authors (the end users) are free to concentrate on dictation using their app. This keeps everything as simple as possible and avoids user errors.

You may install the trial version of the app, but you will need to contact a Dealer in order to purchase and utilize the full functionality of the ODDS (Olympus Dictation Delivery Service). Find a dealer here.

Note: Author’s email address must be unique and cannot have been used on a previous license.
Once the registration is complete, each Author will need to download and install (or update) the Olympus Dictation App from the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android.
The maximum number of Trial Licenses is 100
– Each Trial License remains current for 60 Days
First, there will be no disruption of services, providing that you upgrade to a full license prior to the end of the 60 Day Trial period.
Upon the expiration of the trial license, 12-month licensing will take effect.
Users are encouraged to upgrade early, as no time will be forfeited in the process.

Files are received by the Transcriptionist as a .dss or .ds2 file. If the user has ODMS R6 or R7, files can be imported directly into the workflow.
No. The app can only be assigned to one device per user.
When changing to a new Smartphone during your subscription, enter your setup details on the new device.
You will receive a prompt to confirm whether you want to migrate your license to the new phone, select Yes.
Yes.
During setup users can input as many email addresses as desired, then select the address(es) to receive the dictations.
For a company with multiple authors and assistants, this allows the administrator to list all the support staff then allocate to each author as needed. The option is also available to manually add a recipient.
Users files are kept safe during the process by adding encryption, if desired. A user can pre-set a password, which will be required to open the file.
Note: Dictation files can only be accessed on the Author’s Smartphone or by the recipient. The files are not accessible by your Dealer or anyone with access to the Dictation Portal.
Notes in general
Dictation files cannot be accessed by anyone other than the Author (on their Smartphone) or the person/s receiving them.
They are not accessible by your Provider or anyone who has access to the Dictation Portal.
The splash screen will display the incoming call and the recording will pause. Should the user answer the call, the dictation will be suspended. Upon completion of the call, an Alert will appear prompting the user to “continue” or “stop” the recording.
